This is Bayou who is a four-year-old male multi-poo or cockapoo mix with a soft coat and even softer heart hiding underneath his fear. Bayou came to the shelter as owner surrender through no fault of his own. Since arriving, he’s been very scared and unsure of his surroundings. When he feels overwhelmed, he can react defensively and he’s even bitten a couple of staff members. Because of this, you will need to be a very patient experienced adopter who understands fearful dogs and is willing to give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. Bayou loves to play outside so,really needs a yard The good news? There’s a sweet dog in there and he shows glimpses of a gentle and loving companion. Bayou does play well with other smaller dogs. He is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines, and heartworm negative. Bayou would do best in a calm, quiet adult only household- unfortunately, he would not be good with children.
